The world largest hotel will start in Holy City Makkah Coming Year 2017:
Hajj is the basic part of Islamic belief. Annually millions of Pilgrims come Makkah, Saudi Arab to perform Hajj, during Hajj they have to stay there for couple of days. As the population is increasing day to day and number of pilgrims are also increasing, therefore, Saudi’s Government continue striving for the best facilities and easiness of Pilgrims. To facilitate the pilgrims (Hujaj Karam) world largest hotel Abraj Kudai will start working in 2017, the largest hotel is expected to have 10,000+ rooms, 70 restaurants in 12 separate towers.
Work on the project in which the Saudi Bin Laden group holds the main shares already started and in progress which will be completed soon in 2017. While two of the towers will offer five-star facilities, the other 10 will provide four-star accommodation for pilgrims.
Five floors of this blue-mirrored facility of world largest hotel will solely be used by the Saudi Royal family. The hotel site will also include residential facilities, a shopping mall and plenty of car parking for those visiting the mosque and other facilities like corporate office, banks.
Once completed, the world’s largest hotel hotel will have an approximate total site area of 60,000 million square meters and a total built-up area of 1.4 million square meters.
The world largest hotel Abraj Kudai Hotel has been designed by architects Messrs Dar Al-Handasah, while the London-based M/s Areen Hospitality has been contracted to design the hotel and the rooms’ interiors and outers.
In the year 2010, the world’s biggest clock was constructed in Makkah. Over 90 million pieces of colored glass mosaic embellish the sides of the clock, which has four faces each bearing a large beautiful text of the name “Allah.” It is visible from all corners of the city from too much away, and it looks very unique and beautiful.
