  • Eat three time meals a day (1. breakfast, 2. lunch, and 3. dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal it should be light.
  • Our food should be consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products.
  • Choose clean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs.
  • Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy hunger level and then stop eating.
  • Avoid cold drinks, sodas and sugar-enhanced drinks because of the excessive calories in the sodas and sugar drinks; diet drinks may not be a good choice as they make some people hungrier and increase food consumption.
  • Always avoid eating a large meal before sleeping because it is one of cause of weight gain.
  • Avoid heavy meals in the summer months, especially during hot days, use maximum water, fruit juices and liquids.
  • A green food lifestyle has been promoted for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss.
  • Avoid eating raw or partially cooked meats of any type specially from Bazar, local restaurants, hotel .

Tips for special situations:

  • People with diabetes should use the above tips and monitor their sugar levels as directed by their doctor/physician; ensure to keep the daily blood sugar levels as close to normal as much possible.
  • Person who are trying to to reduce weight (body fat) should avoid all food which contains fat and sugars and eat mainly vegetables, green foods, fruits and green tea.
